the future is your oyster
Many webinars nowadays are full of “established” scholars who have grown so out of touch with the current state of society.
Reminiscent. Not prediction.
What has happened? Not what will?
Understandable. The right to speak about the past resides in the hands of a few: Have you lived it? Have you studied it? Have you got any credentials?
That’s why, the future is everyone’s oyster.
The future has no barrier to entry because no one can study or live the future. Having studied the past doesn't make you a better future predictor.
The right to make predictions about the future, therefore, resides in the hands of anyone who is willing to learn.
We have many names for them: futurists, investors, trendsetters, pioneers, innovators... They live for changes.
The Past: Learned. Established. Fixed.
The Future: Learning. Establishing. Changing.
