If there's only 1 year left to live
daily blog #49
If there's only 1 year left to live, how would you live differently?
If you want to drop out of school, it means the education you are receiving doesn't add much value to your learning.
If you want to quit your job, it means you are working on something you are not passionate about.
If you want to spend more time with your family or best friends, it means you are currently taking them for granted.
Whatever your answer to this question is, it implies something not right with your current lifestyle. Most of us expect to live more than 70, statistically. So we have a lot of time, you might say.
But none of us know when we will have 1 year left to live. So when is the best time to start doing the right things? Is it 40 years before we die? 20? 10? 5? We know it's surely not 1.
I'm not encouraging everyone to go do the things you would do if you only have 1 year left to live. (We would have so many problems if everyone lives like that.)
I'm encouraging you; however, to ask yourself that question, look deeply into your current way of living, and make the necessary changes to be happier.
The best time to start doing the right things is today.
